Bachelor's Capstone Projects

Asian Institute of Technology is a leading institution in Asia in sustainability research. Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) has become a key feature of various research focus. In this light it is very important to inspire the engineering, management and social science students to get exposed to various aspects of sustainability through their bachelor's degree Projects. Students will be given seminars, hands on sessions and local visits to understand the concept, issues, methodologies and applications.

Duration will be 12 weeks in which students will spend 4 weeks in Asian Institute of Technology and rest 8 weeks in their home institution to carry out the remaining part of the project.

• Project will aim at addressing the objectives of one of the SDGs (Sustainability Development Goal) related to water, sanitation, energy, health, urban, environment, and education. Generic outcomes with respect to project with respect to Engineering are (Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing). However, the same may vary with respect to streams of study and necessary consideration be ensured.  

•  The outcomes of each project to be clearly stated such that the same can be considered for the award of credits for the students from across the departments.

•  Learning components should be highlighted so that the panel can assess the students based on their understanding of the background knowledge gained and the way it has been used to solve the problem.

• USD 1,500 (normal cost USD 2,500)

• This cover accommodation which also includes the cost of food: breakfast, lunch, dinner, with refreshments/ tea/coffee, functions, local transportation costs and tickets during field visits.

• Note: For every 20 students, the Local expenses of one faculty from a partner university are covered.
